Is a Mac version of a published iOS app eligible??

The wording feels a bit ambiguous:
"Apps must be either newly created by the Entrant or, if the Entrant’s Project existed prior to the Hackathon Submission Period, it can not have already been published in the App Store before the Submission Period"

I have a native Mac app in progress intending to publish on the Mac App Store, but the iOS app has been on the iOS App Store for a few months.

The Mac product includes some significant new features as well as having to build my own paywall.

    What we are using for determining the first version date is what the App Store or Google Play Store report. Because Apple reports iOS and macOS versions separately, your macOS version should show it's first version as being after August 1st, which means it should be eligible.
