How to win, Part 3: Grow your app
Perttu Lähteenlahti’s latest blog breaks down how to grow your app during Shipaton — and why 100 users is an ambitious but realistic target.
Tips include:
- Announce your app in niche communities and lean on micro-influencers
- Use the Discord and IRL events to cross-promote
- Improve your App Store page with better ASO and visuals
- Iterate visibly and thank your early users directly
- Build a lightweight feedback loop with in-app questions or surveys
As Perttu puts it: “Even small improvements, such a few new daily active users, a handful of signups, or the first batch of reviews, are what builds momentum.”
Quick reminders
- Join the Discord to ask questions, share posts in #post-engagement-boost, find testers, and get feedback from other builders
- Post your progress on social media using #Shipaton, and browse the hashtag for inspiration
See you next week,
Peter
